We're showing up to theirs - the Tennessee State Capitol.
Our Day On The Hill 2023 theme is "From the Trap House to the State House." We want every Black Tennessean to know they are a critical part of democracy. That's why we're providing this annual opportunity to see, hear, and experience what actually goes down at the State Capitol. It's your chance to learn about legislative processes, lobbying, and meet with legislators to discuss pressing issues that matter to you and your community.
We want to see you, investors, community supporters, and coalition partners on Wednesday, March 22 from 9am-3pm in Nashville for this exciting and educational day.
Things you should know:
- Registrants will receive a link to the pre-Day On The Hill virtual training Tennessee Government 101 on Tuesday, March 21 at 6pm-6:45pm CT. The training will provide an overview of the General Assembly, how a bill becomes a law, and communication etiquette.
- Transportation will be provided to and from Chattanooga and Memphis.
- Lunch and snacks will be provided.
