Saturday March 11, 5 PM: Author talk
Michael Novick, editor of the ARA E-News and of Turning The Tide:Journal of Inter-communal Solidarity is speaking at Village Well bookstore, 9900 Culver Blvd., Culver City 90232 (corner Duquesne).
Michael will be reading from and signing copies of “The Blue Agave Revolution: Poetry of the Blind Rebel” that he co-authored with Indigenous political prisoner Oso Blanco (Byron Shane Chubbuck), and of “No Pasaran! Anti-fascist Dispatches from a World in Crisis”, edited by Shane Burley, in which Michael has a long chapter on lessons from anti-racist and anti-fascist struggles from the 1960s until today. Other supporters of Oso Blanco will also be present with his artwork and t-shirts. Proceeds from The Blue Agave Revolution, and Oso Blanco's cards and other creations will go to support the children's programs he has set up and the autonomous Zapatista communities.
The next scheduled book talk will be at All Power Books, 4874 W. Adams Blvd., LA 90016, 6 PM Saturday March 25.
