Spring 2023 Child, Youth & Family Programs at the MacBain Community Centre


NIAGARA FALLS, ON - Join us at the MacBain Community Centre (7150 Montrose Road) this Spring for fun family activities between March 20 and June 30, 2023.

Our registered programs and courses include the following:

RoboThink Robotics
Participants learn valuable 21st-century skills such as engineering, robotics and coding.

  • Saturdays beginning March 25, 2023 (eight sessions)
  • 9:30 am - 11:00 am: Juniors, ages 5 - 7

  • 7:00 pm - 7:45 pm: Intermediate, ages 8 - 12

Carousel Players After School Drama Program
Professional educators will guide participants through games, activities, and experiences that teach them individual skills and allow them to make new friends.

  • Tuesdays beginning March 28 (eight sessions)
  • 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm: Juniors, ages 6 - 8

Alchemy Yoga Classes
Alchemy Yoga strives to provide a serene, safe space to get to know your body; that is what Yoga is about!

  • Wednesdays beginning April 5, 2023 (eight sessions)
  • 9:30 pm - 10:15 am: Parent and Baby, ages newborn - 18 months

  • 10:45 am - 11:30 am: Parent and Toddler, ages 19 months - 3

  • 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm: Preteen, ages 10 - 13

The Martial Arts Center Karate
In partnership with The Martial Arts Center, this ten-week program teaches Goju Ryu Karate, a traditional style of Okinawan martial arts. Goju is a well-balanced system which is excellent for youth of all ages.
  • Fridays beginning April 14 (ten sessions)
  • 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm: Juniors, ages 6 - 8

Racquetball Lessons
Discover the basics of racquetball learning skills, drills, and games from certified Racquetball Ontario coaches. The small group settings will ensure everyone gets plenty of play time and coaching!
  • Mondays beginning April 24, 2023 (four sessions)
  • 6:00 pm - 6:45 pm: Intermediate, ages 9 - 12

  • 7:00 pm - 7:45 pm: Teens, ages 13 - 16

*All course materials and equipment required are included with registration.

Babysitting Course
The Canada Safety Council Babysitting course covers everything from managing challenging behaviours to essential content on leadership and professional conduct as a babysitter. Aspiring babysitters also learn basic first-aid skills.

Pop by for family-focused drop-in activities at the MacBain Community Centre (7150 Montrose Road), including activities anyone can enjoy, like badminton, basketball, table tennis, an indoor playground, and more!
