In Process: A Secret in the Woods

I had the distinct pleasure of being able to visit some fine artists at work, and to break bread with them, at the Watermill Center a few weeks ago. It’s an opportunity that the Watermill Center, a laboratory for the arts founded by theater and visual artist Robert Wilson, is looking to make more available to its neighbors on the East End.

Southold Town Republicans announced their candidates for all but the top spot in town government Thursday night, renominating Councilwoman Jill Doherty for re-election and picking Mattituck Attorney Stephen Kiely to run for the seat on the Town Board being vacated by Democratic Councilwoman Sarah Nappa.

Judge Rules Greenport Candidates Can Remain on Ballot

A New York State Supreme Court judge has ruled that the candidates who had initially been shut out of the March 21 Greenport Village election can remain on the ballot.

In a March 6 Stipulation of Settlement requested by the Village Board, Justice Joseph A. Santorelli ordered Village Clerk Sylvia Pirillo, in her official capacity as the chief village election officer, to reinstate the names.
