Children’s Time During Lent

During worship this Lent, the kids at Crozet UMC have been offered the chance to add something to their spiritual practice – prayer puppies! The Lentadoodle puppies handed out two weeks ago came with a prayer sheet. We’ve got those prayer sheets online now if anyone would like a new copy or if someone is participating from afar, we’ve heard some folks mailed Lentadoodles to grandchildren or nieces and nephews! It’s never too late for kids to jump in on the Lentadoodle action! You can still snag one at worship during Lent on Sundays. Just let Pastor Sarah or our communications director Bart Isley know you need one!

Kairos Prayer Ministry

March 16-19, Crozet UMC’s Doug Gaskell will be ministering as part of a Kairos team at Augusta Correctional Center. Kairos ministers to the incarcerated throughout Virginia, but it can only succeed with prayer. Will you partner with these men? Will you take 30 minutes to pray? Don’t know how to pray?

Why would you care? The Gospel of Matthew tells us to visit the prisoners. The book of Hebrews tells us to remember the prisoners.

Middle School Youth and Children’s Fellowship Group this Sunday

Justice Ministry Update: Nehemiah Action March 21st

Crozet UMC, along with 25 faith communities, will meet with County and City officials to obtain their commitments for addressing problems of injustice in our region. At the Nehemiah Action we come together, joined by our faiths, to address the urgent needs of our less fortunate brothers and sisters in Albemarle County and the City of Charlottesville. Our specific initiatives for this year are Affordable Housing, Improved Public Transportation, and After-School Care for Head Start Preschoolers. Crozet UMC’s collective support is necessary to make an IMPACT in our community.
