لَّا تَجِدُ قَوْمًا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ يُوَادُّونَ مَنْ حَادَّ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَلَوْ كَانُوا آبَاءَهُمْ أَوْ أَبْنَاءَهُمْ أَوْ إِخْوَانَهُمْ أَوْ عَشِيرَتَهُمْ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ كَتَبَ فِي قُلُوبِهِمُ الْإِيمَانَ وَأَيَّدَهُم بِرُوحٍ مِّنْهُ ۖ وَيُدْخِلُهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْرِي مِن تَحْتِهَا الْأَنْهَارُ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمْ وَرَضُوا عَنْهُ ۚ أُولَٰئِكَ حِزْبُ اللَّهِ ۚ أَلَا إِنَّ حِزْبَ اللَّهِ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ
Translation

You will never find a people who ˹truly˺ believe in Allah and the Last Day loyal to those who defy Allah and His Messenger, even if they were their parents, children, siblings, or extended family. For those ˹believers˺, Allah has instilled faith in their hearts and strengthened them with a spirit from Him. He will admit them into Gardens under which rivers flow, to stay there forever. Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him. They are the party of Allah. Indeed, Allah’s party is bound to succeed.

Hadith

Abdullah bin Mas'ud (RA) narrated: "We went with Allah's Messenger (SAW), while we were young men who had nothing. He said: 'O young men! You should marry, for indeed it helps in lowering the gaze and protecting the private parts. Whoever among you is not able to marry, then let him fast, for indeed fasting will diminish his sexual desire." (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 1081, Book 11, Hadith 2)

FIRST DAY OF RAMADAN
The first day of Ramadan will be on Thursday, March 23rd.  Taraweeh prayers on Wednesday, March 22nd after Isha salah.

IFTAR AT ICBC
During Ramadan, we will have Iftar on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of every week as well as the Ramadan 27^th.  The cost is $300 per sponsorship slot.  30 slots are available for each Iftar day.  For further details, please visit https://icbrushycreek.org/iftar-sponsorship-at-icbc/

ICBC BLOOD DRIVE
We had a successful blood drive last weekend, 20 people donated.  Thank you for all those who participated.

INDIAN FOOD FEST
Alhamdu lillah, our sisters did an excellent job in organizing this event and cooking amazing dishes for sale to support the EAC construction project.  They raised $5,400 for our masjid.  We want to thank all the sisters who helped with the organization of this event.

EARTHQUAKE RELIEF

During the Jumu'ah prayers on February 10th, we raised funds for the earthquake relief efforts in Turkey and Syria.  Our community support for our fellow brothers and sisters was truly overwhelming.  We have started to disburse the funds through seven (7) non-profit, charitable organizations that have IRS 501 (c) (3) status, and with an active presence in the affected areas of Turkey and Syria.

VOLUNTEERING AT ICBC

At ICBC, we conduct several programs and activities throughout the year, which is possible only with the assistance of our incredible team of committed volunteers. Volunteering enables a person to earn rewards from Allah SWT. It also helps develop leadership skills and allows a person to use his/her expertise and experience to help build a better community.

ICBC WHATSAPP GROUP

One of our communication channels is the SMS text service.  There are certain limitations with this service such as the size of the message, the inability to send bit.ly links, sending images, etc. as well as the costs associated with this service.  Therefore, we have formed an official ICBC WhatsApp group to communicate ICBC-related matters.  Please join this official ICBC WhatsApp group at https://chat.whatsapp.com/CWe5xun8nod1r5lbBa7Xfy

Update on Education & Activities Center

Construction is progressing nicely. We had a pre-meeting with the city inspectors, the area under the building footprint has been cleared, fill was brought in to achieve the elevations necessary for the concrete foundation and various material submittals are being reviewed.

Please stay out of the construction zone.  Also, make sure your children do not go near the construction area.  Please exert caution when coming to the masjid, especially for Fajr and Isha prayers when it is dark.  We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
