Compensation: Did You Know? |
IRIS ZPPOSITION000 Position Create/Change Expert Tips |
Expert tip: Workflow notes are a must!
Did you know that when submitting IRIS Position Create/Change workflow, there should always be workflow notes added to each and every submission? When HR Compensation reviews these actions, they need to understand what the situation is to ensure the position is set up correctly. If there are no workflow notes added, we grab our cape and magnifying glass and play detective. Time might be lost deciding who gets to be Sherlock and who gets relegated to Watson. While we have a lot of fun, it slows the process down or worse, something important might be missed requiring another action to be submitted. |
Workflow notes might simply say “updating reports-to field”, or they could summarize a recent classification such as “HR Compensation reviewed this position and recommends Administrative Associate 2, MR04. Letter dated March 2, 2023.” |
Workflow notes are a great way to give us the information we need to ensure the position is correct and give context to more complicated situations. Relaying this information is important, but adding a quick note is simple, or as we like to say, elementary. |
