Q&A with Dr. Bloecher
The PCECN Health Provider Voice and Family Voice Action Teams recently coordinated a Q&A session with Patrick Bloecher, MD (Family Medicine and Obstetrician). As Dr. Bloecher speaks both English and Spanish, he was able to answer health-related questions from all of the families in attendance.
Dr. Bloecher answered questions ranging from pregnancy and postpartum issues to diabetes and general health-related questions. Families in attendance were able to bring their children along, as well.
The Q&A session with Dr. Bloecher came about thanks to the relationship between Dr. Nnoli, Family Connects Medical Director, and our Health Provider Voice and Family Voice Action Teams. Dr. Nnoli was creating a Fourth Trimester Care elective for 2nd and 3rd year residents. The Q&A session became a conduit in which residents could increase their awareness, understanding, and engagement in community resources available to
birthing families in Pierce County.

It was a wonderful opportunity for families to connect with one another and ask questions about any uncertainties they have. A big thank you to our friends at SeaMar and Family Connects for joining us!
