Teacher Appreciation Week
March 20-24
Next week is a chance for us to celebrate our fantastic teachers! If you haven't done so already, please bring the note card back by Monday (the card can be found in your child's folder). If you would like to donate to the Teacher Appreciate Fund, you can do so here.

SLC Spirit Week: March 27-31
During Spirit Week we are planning fun activities to show our school pride! Events to look forward to include:
Monday: Rep your favorite team, college, jersey!
Tuesday: Wear your SLC merch or classroom color!
Wednesday: Donate to Collections for the Homeless!
Thursday: Dress-Up and Dance Party with Joel Day!
Friday: Donation Delivery Day!

Community Connection
During SLC's Spirit Week, we will be collecting items for Connections for the Homeless. Please send in Lotsa Pasta (pasta, lentils, rice, beans) or new & gently used Men's Clothing (all items in all sizes). The items will be delivered by the Kindergarten and the Blue Room on Friday, March 31st. You can find more details here. Thank you for your participation!

A Few Spots Remain
We have just a few spots open in our 3-day Beach Camp (three & four year olds) and in the On-Site for Bigs camp (4,5 & 6 year olds). Once the spots are gone, they're gone! Don't miss the fun and register here.

It's a playdate!
You are invited to attend this FREE playdate, geared toward children ages 0-5. This event, co-hosted by the Evanston Early Childhood Council and the City of Evanston, is happening at the Ecology Center from 10-12 p.m. on Saturday, March 18th. Activities include critter visits to the classroom, arts & crafts projects and a self-guided scavenger hunt for families! There will also be goodie bags and lite snacks available. Enjoy.

Staff Spotlight
Meet Katie Barthelemy! Katie is a third year classroom assistant (Red room) who says her favorite thing about working at SLC is how much they laugh every day, and watching friendships develop among the children & parents in her class. Katie says "When I had young children, I found my community at SLC and I'm still close with these friends today, more than 20 yrs later!" When Katie is not at SLC, she loves photography, reading, walking her dogs and running into the SLC kids at the grocery store 😊
