BEGIN YOUR JOURNEY ON EARTH DAY!

There is nothing more joyous than seeing folks planting, weeding, watering and staking!

For Earth Day, Project Monarch LA, a project of ADCCLA, our friends and partners at California State Parks Foundation, CA State Parks at LA State Historic Park, Monarch Watch, and LA River State Parks Partners, have helped us created a unique opportunity to plant some food for our Caterpillars (Milkweed) and supporting plants for the Butterflies.

ON THE AGENDA

  • We’ll be planting native milkweed and tending our companion nectar plants and you can help by planting, weeding, and watering!

  • Enjoy a talk on monarchs and native plants by Antonio Sanchez, Nursery Manager, NPS Native Plant Nursery, Rancho Sierra Vista

  • Monarch related art activities with Garden School Foundation and Arts District Community Council LA; and a shared lunch courtesy of Sweetgreen.

  • To commemorate your habitat restoration journey, those who sign up to plant on the link below, and show up on time to plant, will receive a limited addition 2023 Project Monarch LA Hero patch!

  • Have fun and take direct climate action!
