Fall 2023 Academic Calendar
  • The Fall 2023 Academic Calendar is available on the EWMBA home page.
  • Please be sure to review these dates before making any travel plans.
  • Things to note:
    • Evening Core starts the week of Jul 24.
    • Weekend Core starts Aug 6.
    • Lux Core starts Aug 8.
    • Saturday Electives start Aug 19.
    • Evening Electives start the week of Aug 21.
    • Core Fall Break: Oct 2-7
  • All final exams must be taken at the scheduled date and time. Some Core courses may be scheduled as combined cohort exams.

2023 Commencement


Commencement Awards and Student Speaker Nominations
Due Sunday Mar 19, 11:59PM PT
  • Students should have received an email on Mar 9 with corrected links to the nominations forms for Commencement Awards and Student Speaker.
  • Please open and read the email for key deadlines, and directions on nominations.

Clarification Regarding Commencement Ceremonies
  • Students set to graduate in May 2023 may have received another email from UC Berkeley titled "Commencement registration and tickets now live!"
  • That email is regarding tickets for the University-wide commencement for all UC Berkeley students at Memorial Stadium!
    • This is separate from the FT and EW ceremony on Friday May 19. 
    • Review the MBA Commencement 2023 Ceremony details for ticket info specifically for the MBA ceremony. MBAs are welcome to attend both ceremonies if they wish.

  • Here are our MBA Prayer & Meditation Room Guidelines:
    • Please remove your shoes and place them on the rack inside the door when entering.
    • What this room is:
      • A silent prayer room
      • A multi-faith room
      • A silent meditation room (might not be suitable for a group using guided meditation)
    • What this room is not:
      • A study space
      • A place to eat or drink
      • A place to hangout
      • A place where you use electronics (no phones/phone calls)
      • An exercise or yoga room
