Today's Readings

Therefore, whoever breaks one of the least of these commandments
and teaches others to do so
will be called least in the Kingdom of heaven.
But whoever obeys and teaches these commandments
will be called greatest in the Kingdom of heaven.
Por lo tanto, el que quebrante uno de estos preceptos menores y enseñe eso a los hombres, será el menor en el Reino de los cielos; pero el que los cumpla y los enseñe, será grande en el Reino de los cielos.

Men's Group- New Study Starting March 23

Romans: The Gospel of Salvation

Join us every other Thursday at St. Francis starting March 23 at 7 am to explore Paul's letter to the Romans.

"Paul’s letter to the Romans has been at the center of reflection, conversion, and controversy from the time it was written. Presented by Andrew Swafford and Jeff Cavins, Romans: The Gospel of Salvation provides an authentically Catholic, comprehensive, and simple way to understand the overarching theme of Romans—salvation. This fascinating book reveals that salvation is not merely the removal of a guilty verdict; it is about entering into Christ’s life, death, and resurrection and sharing in his divine life.

In Jesus Christ, all the hopes and expectations of Israel are fulfilled, leading to the universal (“catholic”) family of God. Romans: The Gospel of Salvation will help you to make sense of the difficult passages regarding faith, works of the law, and justification. Above all, it will help you to enter into a more meaningful relationship with Christ."

This study will be 8 sessions. Please bring your Bible and a journal.

Let's Plan a Hopping Good Time

It’s time to bring back an Easter tradition.  This Easter, St. Francis will sponsor an Easter Egg Hunt for the children of the parish.  For this to be successful, we need your help – lots of help.  Please, if you are able donate a dozen or more pre-stuffed plastic Easter Eggs.  We will have baskets available between now and Palm Sunday for your donation (or bring to the Faith Formation Office).

Discernment Retreat

Blessed Trinity Shrine Retreat is offering a retreat on discernment at the end of April. We would appreciate it if you could help us spread the word about this retreat. It is perfect for lay as well as religious!
"In our daily walk with God, our hearts desire is to “seek and find the Divine Will”. There is profound peace and spiritual truth in the discernment of spirits in our daily life. Are you struggling to discern God’s Will, not just in the big decisions you face, but in the small decisions you encounter every day? Discerning which promptings are from God and the ones that are not, is critical when we desire to live the “Divine Will” in our daily life. Using St. Ignatius’s Discernment of Spirits, we can learn how to seek God in all things. This allows us and those in our lives to receive the good fruit of solid discernment. Whether you desire to discern God’s Will in important decisions that are in today’s activities, this week, this year, or the years to come, pause and listen to see the tools Ignatius gives us and what discernment of spirits offers for you in your life journey with God."
