Keep the tire-side down with these safety tips!

Make sure all your spring rides are safe rides!
Nothing is more important to a fun ride on bike share than making it a safe ride. As the weather improves you'll be more ready to explore downtown Lincoln than ever -- be sure to practice bike safety on every trip.

Here are a few safety tips for your next BikeLNK ride:
  • Adjust your BikeLNK seat to the desired height: our bikes fit a wide range of heights - adjust the seat using clasp below the saddle, and check that it is secure before starting toward your destination.
  • Follow the rules of the road: bicyclists must follow the same rules as motorists. Know where you're riding, and obey all traffic laws.
  • Use care at intersections: you're likely to cross a few of these in downtown. Ride where you can see and be seen, and ride predictably so you can effectively share the road with other users.
  • Watch for road hazards: keep an eye out for hazards that may be on the road. If you're riding as part of a group and in the lead, yell out and point to upcoming hazards to alert the riders behind you.
