RONDO CLT IN THE COMMUNITY
|
|
We have a big announcement! Rondo CLT is celebrating its 30th anniversary and we want to invite you to help celebrate with us. Since 1993, our organization has evolved to facilitate permanently affordable homeownership and commercial space for community members across Saint Paul and Ramsey County to build individual and community wealth. To celebrate this landmark achievement as the oldest land trust in Minnesota, we are hosting the Own. Build. Grow Together 30th Year Anniversary Event Series:
- 30th Annual Meeting: On June 22, Rondo CLT will host its 30th Annual Meeting where we will seat new board members and share our Annual Report with leaseholders, board members, and partner organizations.
- 1041 Selby Block Party: On July 22, we will celebrate Rondo CLT “block party style” with BIPOC- owned food trucks, a beer garden, live musical performances, and interactive community art projects.
- First Annual Gala: On September 23, the year’s celebrations will culminate with our first ever Annual Gala. Community leaders, partners, elected officials, and corporate sponsors will meet to support the bright futures that Rondo CLT continues to create through stable, affordable, and reparative housing.
We'll follow up with more information closer to the dates.

Central High School: On March 17th, Noah Bauer, our Community Engagement Specialist, had the opportunity to attend St. Paul Central’s Career Opportunity Fair. The all-day resource fair presented students with information about potential career paths and gave Noah the chance to talk with them about the land trust model. He had a great time interacting with students and forming connections.
TB'z Customz: We are excited to share that on April 1st, as part of our Right to Return initiative, TB’z Customz is hosting its grand opening as a new commercial land trust in our Selby Milton Victoria building! The boutique, run and owned by born and raised Rondo resident Ticia Bradley, will offer lounge and casual clothing ranging in sizes M-4X, customized shoes, and accessories. Drop by between 12 and 6pm to celebrate and support Ticia. Click here for more information!

Starting today with the March edition of our newsletter, we will be featuring a Rondo CLT Board member each month. To kick things off, we decided to feature our board chair - Charles Bradley! A senior content specialist at Thomson Reuters, Bradley has had a lengthy and varied career with the company during his 32 years there. Starting out as a janitor at West Publishing when he was just 17, he attended the University of Minnesota earning a communications degree, and worked his way up to joining the Litigator Acquisition Team where he works with a global team to acquire legal documents for legal research and Reuters news coverage.
When he is not lending others a hand, Bradley is pedaling the streets of the Twin Cities and exploring urban bike trails. His is carbon fiber mountain bike is a prized possession. He notes, “It helps me to keep the diabetes away!"
Thank you, Charles, for all the support you provide our board.
