4 - Rotary Foundation Challenge Match

To encourage giving to The Rotary Foundation and recognize club members who give, the Rotary Club of Greenville will match Rotary Foundation donations between February 23 and April 30 for club members who give at least $100. Donations will be matched up to 500 points. Wait, there’s more! District Governor Joyce Morin also is having a Foundation Challenge Match during this same time so it may be possible to double the Foundation points for your donation. This means a club member can become a Paul Harris Fellow or Multiple Paul Harris Fellow much more quickly!

So, how do you donate to ensure you get double matching points? Simple! Just donate the way you normally do. Your donations will be counted by both the District and the Club if you give online, via a telephone call to the Rotary number, by a check sent by mail, or in a check given through our club.

A donation to Annual Fund – SHARE of $100 would earn the donor 100 Recognition Points. The club would match those points, and so would District Governor Joyce (and some of her friends). Thus, the donor possibly could earn 300 Recognition Points for that $100 donation. A few guidelines: Rotary International requires that a minimum of 100 Recognition Points be transferred to a Rotarian, and therefore gifts of less than $100 cannot be matched. Also, Major Donors and Paul Harris Fellows +8 have reached the maximum in points that can be earned through a transfer from another donor. And donations sent by mail must be postmarked by April 15 to ensure they arrive during this Foundation Challenge Match.

Look for the weekly emails about District Governor Joyce Morin’s Foundation Challenge. By giving to The Rotary Foundation, you are changing lives in countries such as Haiti and Honduras, and you’re changing lives right here in Greenville.
