Below the Belt Virtual Screening

March is Endometriosis Awareness Month. We’re working to raise awareness for the 70% of our female patients that come in with debilitating pain, and a diagnosis of endometriosis.

On March 29 at 7PM EST, PRM is hosting a national virtual screening of Below the Belt featuring a jam-packed expert panel featuring all our excision surgeons, national patient advocates, and film subjects – with producer Shannon Cohn herself joining us, too.

Shannon Cohn, filmmaker and producer, has been holding screenings all over the world. The documentary shows tear-jerking features of four women through years of pain, fear, misdiagnosis, repeated surgeries and medical debt.

We’re inviting the community, our entire patient population, and anyone who knows or loves an endo warrior to join virtually. We’ll host an expert panel after the film to talk about “Why a Whole-Body Approach to Endo is So Important”.

  • Dr. Allyson Shrikhande – Our fearless leader and Endo Advocate/Pelvic Pain Specialist

  • Dr. Iris Orbuch – Endo Excision Surgeon

  • Diana Falzone – Endo Found Ambassador

  • Shannon Cohn – Producer, Director of Below the Belt and Endo What?

  • Dr. Melissa McHale – Endo Excision Surgeon

  • Jenneh Rise, BSN, RN – Film Subject, Endo Advocate

  • Dr. Rachael Haverland – Endo Excision Surgeon

  • Katie Boyce – Board Certified Patient Advocate

  • Dr. Lora Liu – Endo Excision Surgeon

We hope you join us on March 29. You’ll hear from these patients and be able to hear our panel talk endo, take questions from the viewers, and get inspired with us.

If you can’t join live, no worries. You can register anyway and gain access to the film for 24 hours along with a recording of the panel.

In the United States, endometriosis is estimated to impact at least 11% of women – though at PRM our pelvic pain specialists would be quick to tell you that it is most likely far more than that due to misdiagnosis, lack of access to care, and a silent and silenced patient population. We’re committed to providing access to care and providing a functional, restorative approach different from what’s been offered. We look forward to the panel discussion with you!
