DTM Ukraine is pleased to share with you Round 21 of the Ukraine DTM Baseline Assessment. Data for this round was collected between 1 to 28 February 2023 and provides figures on registered IDPs in 23 oblasts and Kyiv city.

Key findings for this round include:

  • As of 28 February, there were 3,608,704 registered IDPs in the 23 assessed oblasts and Kyiv city.
  • Overall, DTM recorded an increase of 53,519 registered IDPs since Round 20 (31 January). 
  • Kharkivska (467,154), Dnipropetrovska (372,279) and Kyivska (334,037) oblasts have the highest number of formally registered IDPs.
  • Gender disaggregated data on registered IDPs was provided by 60 per cent of assessed hromadas. In those hromadas, 63 per cent of registered IDPs were female and 37 per cent were male.
  • At the raion level, Kharkivskyi, Kyivska and Zaporizkyi host the highest number of registered IDPs, with over 160,000 each.
The data presented are sourced from records of registered IDPs provided by hromada officials, likely representing an undercount of those who were forced to flee their homes, the attached report provides more details on the methodology used.

The report and dataset at hromada level are for RESTRICTED CIRCULATION only, following the OCHA data sensitivity classification.The hromada-level materials are also uploaded on limited access platforms such as Sharepoint, HDX, displacement.iom.int.
