Group Night/AGM

Thursday 30th March at the Kentagon, Brands Hatch DA3 8PU, 7.00pm. As usual, the March Group Night is our annual General Meeting, after which we'll have time to socialise. Bar and refreshments available, non-member guests welcome.

Reluctantly, the committee decided to replace the Amberley Training & Social Ride on 2nd April with the Easter charity ride to Scott’s Trust. This is not to diminish the importance of the T&S Ride but of fulfilling a promise to support the Scott’s Trust at this time of the year. The staff and residents of the Trust are immensely appreciative of the support they receive from KAMG.

Would you like to lead a group run or tour?

Do you have a favourite destination, route or café? If you'd like to lead a run or overnight trip, simply contact Roger Lancaster with your idea. Roger will run through the itinerary to ensure necessary safety issues are in place.

A message from Roger: "Many members lead rides throughout the year, including the groups of four riders on our Training & Social Ride each month. Is it legal to speed if you are fleeing a threat?

It might seem reasonable to assume you can evade an imminent personal threat by speeding or jumping a red light. But is it legal? Bennetts BikeSocial has a look.

Is there still life in the petrol engine after 2035?

New petrol-engined motorcycles are due to be banned from 2035 in favour of electric powered bikes. However, it is rumoured that e-fuelled cars and motorcycles, may be permitted after that date. MCN reports on the story.
