ADULT SPIRITUAL FORMATION
The Saint Alban's Bible Reading Group - Wednesday March 15 @ 7pm
We're continuing with the book of Samuel.
The Zoom link is below. Please note that this is a new link set up for the year 2023. The old link no longer works.
THESE ARE NEW COORDINATES, BUT THE PASSWORD IS THE SAME ! PLEASE UPDATE YOUR LINKS
The Bible Reading Group has been meeting for over two years to read whole books of the Bible. There is some discussion, but mainly we read the whole text out loud. We are in the middle of Matthew’s Gospel, but we have read the Gospels of Mark and Luke, the Acts of the Apostles, a number of Paul’s letters, the Book of Genesis, Job, Jonah, and the apocryphal Book of Judith. People like it! Feel free to drop in. If you'd like to get on the email list, contact Larry at Lawrence.DiCostanzo@gmail.com.
The readings are also recorded so you can check them out on our YouTube Channel.
We will read the upcoming Sunday's gospel twice, have a brief period of silence, share a phrase from the gospel that speaks to us, discuss, and close with a prayer. If you have any questions, contact Margaret Doleman.

From the DioCal Health & Wellness Team
The guidelines issued on November 30are still valid and in effect.
However, since the Thanksgiving holiday, there has been a marked increase in COVID and RSV cases. A more telling indicator is that hospitalizations are peaking/surging. This trend is expected to continue through the coming Christmas/New Year's celebrations.
That being said, we are leaving it up to the discretion of each congregation's clergy in charge and their vestries/bishop's committees to decide whether to insist on more stringent measures of masking, social distancing, and contact tracing.
We ask churches to let parishioners and visitors know that
Masking is strongly encouraged as an individual choice. This protects the individual from catching a virus AND it insures that the individual won't be the cause of spreading any viruses.
Being up-to-date on one's vaccination status regarding COVID and pneumonia shots is always a prudent health practice, whether in church or elsewhere.
Using a hand-sanitizer when entering church is strongly encouraged.
Keeping the church as well-ventilated as possible when people are gathered for worship or other indoor activities.
