Director of Campus Safety Sara Westbrook has left UP after being in the position for four years. Her departure was announced in an email to UP staff on March 1, but no reason was given for the sudden departure.

The University of Portland has extended the contract of the women’s soccer head coach Michelle French and promoted Logan Emory and Maite Zibala to co-associate head coaches. It is the first time in program history that this position will be shared by two people.

Students face a plethora of trials in their day-to-day lives. People can find comfort in joining a community of people who are processing similar struggles. The Health and Counseling Center offers four support groups that are free to UP students. These groups are a wonderful resource for connecting with other students and cultivating emotional and interpersonal skills.

As the semester is winding down, many of the year-long preparations for cultural events are ending. Students from various clubs are ready to show the UP community what they've been working on. From now until the end of the school year, here are five events you can attend on campus to celebrate and enjoy some of the many cultures on campus.

The Office of International Education, Diversity and Inclusion is seeing major developments this week with two major position changes underway. Tshombé Brown will serve as the first director of diversity, equity and inclusion and Eduardo Contreras will be leaving UP.
