Thursday, March 9, 12:15 PM: March in solidarity with those protecting the Atlanta forest and the movement to #StopCopCity!

WHAT HAPPENED?
In Atlanta, Georgia, a big forest is being destroyed to build "Cop City," an 86-acre, $90-million police training facility. This is DESPITE most residents opposing the project. Last month, on January 18th, Georgia State Patrol officers shot Manuel Esteban Paez Teran, a peaceful forest protector, and there has been a lot of movement around it since.

WHAT ARE WE DOING?
On March 9th, we will be marching in solidarity with Defend the Atlanta Forest and the movement to #StopCopCity, to defend the Weelaunee Forest in Atlanta, and to protest the murder of activist Tortugita "Tort" Paez Teran. This is crucial to ensure the end of police brutality toward BIPOC, queer folks, and climate activists, resist the suppression of the constitutional right to protest, and the erasure of our urban forests.

FILL OUT THIS FORM TO STAY UPDATED. We hope to see you on Thursday!
