Thobe is an immigrant from South Africa who participated in the 10th Cohort of our Training Institute. Thobe was working a cleaning job that happened to place her in Custom Collaborative's studio. While there, she was encouraged by our Alumni Coordinator (Cristina) to apply for the program. She followed through on the opportunity and the rest is history. Thobe was the class speaker at our recent graduation for Cohort 10 and we invite you all to listen to her graduation speech in full. Thobe truly captures the impact that our programs - and your generosity - make on the lives of low/no-income women.
"Custom Collaborative has helped me realize that my potential to succeed is limitless. I have never been so confident in my life. I have not just learned fashion design, I have increased my confidence and knowledge of the power I have to create the life I desire. Thanks to this program and our mentor, Delia, I am looking to the future with excitement."
