The research is convincing: gratitude makes you feel better, even in tough circumstances. It could be for a warm smile from a shop assistant  or for an unexpected blue sky. As a way of being mindful it can make you more alive to your world.

Try: Pause each morning to consider something you can feel grateful for, however small, and notice how that feels. What are you grateful for right now?
The practice of gratitude helps lower anxiety and develop a more positive and optimistic attitude among other benefits, the research shows. Learn about the benefits and some ways to cultivate gratitude at this 1hr 15min event on Zoom from 7pm to 8.15pm. The event will be recorded (the recording won't identify participants) and everybody who books will receive a link to the recording. This is a donation event. Learn more
Yesterday's Daily Bell
Our mental and emotional spaces gather clutter - old memories, irritations, failures - that gets in our way. Pausing to bring awareness to the present moment (perhaps through observing your breathing) can clear the clutter.

Try: When mulling over unhelpful memories, ask if they are clutter in your mind and, if so, come back to the present moment through your breathing.
