Public Invited to Easter Egg Hunts at Chimney Park and Chateau de Morès

Medora, N.D. – The public is invited to the 81st annual Harry Roberts Memorial Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. MT, at Chimney Park in Medora. This free event is for children ages 12 and under. Thousands of eggs will be hidden within Chimney Park. Children should bring their own collection basket or bag and must be accompanied by an adult. This event is free; reservations are required at https://bit.ly/81ChateauEasterEggHunt. 

For children who require a more accessible experience, a series of adaptive hunts will begin at 2 p.m. MT at the Chateau de Morès Interpretive Center. Parents can choose from several different hunts in our exhibits and on the patio. Reservations are required at https://bit.ly/ChateauSensoryFriendly2023.

Harry Roberts, the first site supervisor at the Chateau de Morès State Historic Site, started this annual Easter egg hunt in 1941. The event is sponsored by the State Historical Society of North Dakota, Medora Chamber of Commerce, and Friends of the Chateau de Morès.

Chimney Park is part of the Chateau de Morès State Historic Site and is managed by the State Historical Society of North Dakota.
