In this edition we share details of our exciting partnerships to tackle multiple long-term conditions (MLTC). Our recent initiatives include a cross-NIHR collaboration which will enable different specialities to work together on MLTC research, and a launch of the NIHR global health research project in Nepal.
Meanwhile, as part of our national ARC lead role on MLTC, we are leading a national networking event with contributions from across the ARCs in May 2023, featuring keynote speaker Professor Lucy Chappell, Chief Scientific Advisor at Department of Health and Social Care.
To mark three years since the UK was first put into lockdown, ARC East Midlands has taken the lead on a new publication which showcases how ARCs across the country responded to the coronavirus pandemic. It brings together case studies demonstrating how ARCs pivoted their research programmes and showcases work across a range of themes including children and young people, care homes, equality and diversity, end of life care and workforce planning.
