Call for Submissions: The Gathering Divergence - Spring 2023

Submissions are open for The Gathering Divergence Interdisciplinary Festival & Conference Spring 2023. Hosted by Cultural Pluralism in the Arts Movement Ontario (CPAMO), the conference provides performing artists the opportunity to display/showcase/facilitate a workshop or performance. Proposed work should relate to the Conference's themes of broadening capacities for IBPOC Arts makers, implementing creative processes for the future, advancing Equity, Diversity and Inclusive Learning, and critically understand IBPOC artists & organizations and their work. Manchester 2023 ISPA Congress Pitch New Works: Apply Now

Artists and arts professionals are invited to apply to the Manchester 2023 ISPA Congress Pitch New Works project. Ten participants have the opportunity to share a new work with ISPA's international delegation of performing arts leaders at the Manchester 2023 ISPA Congress from June 27th–30th, 2023. Past participants have secured additional project support, representation, touring opportunities, and international exposure.

I Want to Showcase Applications Now Open for 2023 Manitoba Showcase

Manitoba Arts Network is now accepting artist applications to the 2023 Manitoba Showcase Conference to be held at the Steinbach Arts Council from October 26th-29th, 2023. Showcase events are an opportunity for artists to offer a 15-minute sample of their show to a dedicated audience of presenters and buyers, and offers a contact room and networking forum where artists set up booths, make new connections and have discussions with the presenters. Performers of all types–musicians, dance, theatre, variety acts, and more–are invited to apply. Send your application to the I Want to Showcase website by April 28th, 2023.

Arts Reach Conference Seeking Panellists for Performing Arts Facilities Session

Arts Reach: The Association of Arts Management, Marketing & Development Professionals is looking for facility managers to join a panel discussion at the Canadian Arts Marketing, Development and Ticketing Conference between May 30th–31st, 2023 in Toronto. The panel session, titled Performing Arts Facilities and the Culture Wars: Life on the Front Lines, will discuss whether role arts facilities should be neutral sites welcoming all in the community or activist organizations pursuing justice and other progressive viewpoints for their communities. BIPOC facility managers are especially welcome to apply, and panellists will be provided with complimentary registration to the entire conference. Healthy Performer Workshop from Artists' Health Centre

The Artists’ Health Centre is launching a full suite of free wellness workshops starting in March 2023. In the Health Performer 3-Part Virtual Series, Dr. Nana-Adjoa Bourne will walk you through a new perspective on looking at your health and some easy tools that you can get started with now to extend your career as a performer and make your movement feel effortless. The workshops will be taking place virtually on Zoom from March 22nd–31st, 2023. To learn more and register, visit the event page here.

AFC and Artists' Health Centre: Managing Workplace Anxiety

Presented by the AFC in partnership with the Artists’ Health Centre, Mental Wellness Workshop: Managing Workplace Anxiety is a workshop for entertainment industry professionals looking for strategies to cope with work-related anxiety and stress. Facilitated by social workers Christine Rossi-Wright and Megan Potestio, the Managing Workplace Anxiety workshop will discuss tools and coping strategies to help navigate work-related stress and anxiety and make your professional life more sustainable. The workshop will be taking place on Thursday, March 30th, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. ET on Zoom. Register for the workshop at the AFC website here.

Only films produced after February 2022 will be accepted. All screened films will receive an honorarium. Please note that feedback will not be provided on submitted films, and only the selected applicants will be contacted.
