Hi <<First Name>>,

Happy Wednesday! I'm busy packing my suitcase to head to the heading to Orlando today through Saturday for the American String Teacher's Association National Conference. I'll be presenting on Autonomy in the Music Lesson on Saturday morning at 7 am, as part of two Express Talks. The other presenter in the hour, Noël Wan, will be discussing Empathy. What a great combination of topics to discuss!

If you are also attending ASTA, I'd love to connect. Click HERE to let me know you're coming and let's grab a real in-person coffee between sessions.

Today, I want you to hear about a Stress-Free Studio alumni, Elizabeth Newquist. Elizabeth is a busy cello teacher based in the midwest. She's a proud mom of a cellist, and a desire for more conscientious family time was the core motivation of our work together

After Elizabeth completed the Stress-Free Studio program, she took some time to answer some questions about her experience. When we discussed what her life was like before, she was struggling with boundaries and creating a schedule that worked with her family rhythm and allowed her to prioritize her son's extracurricular music activities as well.

How were we able to solve the problems you were facing?

Elizabeth: We set up a studio policy and talked about condensing the schedule. We discussed attendance policy and make-up lessons. We made plans for the future and how I could structure my summer to better align with a teacher husband and a teenager!

What did you think of the structure of the program?

Elizabeth: It was wonderful to have the templates and resources to build my studio. The support in-between calls was Absolutely imperative! When making big changes, it's essential to feel supported.

Describe what is different after implementing these changes in your program.

E: I feel more respected. The goal was to feel increasingly more structured and we are getting there.

How much did your income change?

E: $15 more an hour at the moment!

What is your biggest takeaway from our work together?*

There is still so much I hope to do, and so much I want to give my students. It is ok to gradually build up to my goals but in the meantime, it is important to establish boundaries and charge what I’m worth.

If you ask me, Elizabeth is the perfect example of why I started the Stress-Free Studio; the ability to help people shift their priorities back to the essentials like family time, while maintaining excellence in her teaching and offering her students the best. Elizabeth is well on her way to living a life that aligns with her values.

Ready to design your studio around your values like Elizabeth?

My Stress-Free Studio program has launched! It’s designed to help overwhelmed teachers streamline their lives so they can focus on their teaching.

It's a combination of made-for-you templates, 1:1 calls, and ongoing support as you make changes to your studio. Change can feel intimidating. You deserve to be supported during the transformation process.
