I hope everyone has had a wonderful (mild) winter and is excited spring seems to be arriving early! 🌷 We wanted to update you with a few changes for this season. We have been hit hard with fees for non-present credit card processing so we are excited to announce we will be adding ACH as a new payment method! We will be pushing this option as it is the best option for our company to utilize in order to minimize fees and provide you with a better service.As soon as we have an update on this new system we will reach out with more info on how to sign up. Ultimately it is going to work identical to how we use credit cards now but it will be your ACH info instead of your card info.This should be a very easy and painless process.
Unfortunately, due to the times, we will be adjusting rates again this year and including the fuel surcharge. We are very sorry to have to do this. We pride ourselves on providing a livable wage to our employees. Material and labor costs have gone up and we have to accommodate. We understand if this is not feasible for some. We appreciate the years you have allowed us to do work for you and completely understand if you need to make new arrangements.
Reminder/adjustment about fuel surcharge: Last spring we implemented a $2 or 2% for mowing fuel surcharge and $3 or 3% for fertilizing fuel surcharge(whichever is greater) for each $0.50/gallon increment over $4/gallon. We are adjusting this to where we will now charge the incremental additional cost at over $4.50/gallon of diesel fuel. So if diesel is $4.85 then you should expect to see a fuel surcharge of $2 or 2% for mowing and $3 or 3% for fertilizing. Our hope is to not have to do this is this doesn’t come into effect and that we dont have them this year but we do not have the margins to take a massive increase on fuel costs.
Below are the new rates:
Residential Mowing:
Standard Pay-As-You-Go with Credit Card: $5/cut plus fuel surcharges
Pay-As-You-Go w/ Auto-ACH: If you signup for auto-ACH but remain on a Pay As You Go Mowing program then your price will only increase $3/cut plus fuel surcharges
Monthly Payment w/ Auto-ACH: As long as you sign up/are signed up for our Monthly Payment w/ ACH auto-pay system, once it is rolled out, then NO PRICE INCREASE! It will be your monthly payment and any fuel surcharge.
Pay upfront for the year: you should expect a 7% total increase when paying by check or online ACH. We won't try to guess fuel surcharges and will not apply them to you unless cost per gallon of diesel exceeds $6/gallon during season. If so, expect an additional 2% contract adjustment per $0.50 over $6/gallon.
Residential Fertilization:
Standard Pay-As-You-Go with Credit Card: If you continue with standard credit card then pricing is increasing $7/treatment along with the fuel surcharge.
Pay-As-You-Go w/ Auto-ACH: $4/treatment along with the fuel surcharge as long as you convert over to ACH auto-pay.
Commercial Clients:
You are typically contacted on a case by case basis. Most should expect a minimum of a 7% price increase for mowing and landscaping, and 10% increase on fertilization with all increases to the nearest $5 increment. If we don't reach out to you individually then the above pricing adjustments are accurate.
