West U resident Dee Dee Dochen enjoys sharing her love of music with the community. Recently, Dee Dee donated a portion of her collection of nearly 75 miniature pianos to students at Parker Elementary Music Magnet School during their third-grade piano recital. “It’s time to share most of them with a next-gen of piano lovers,” said Dee Dee.

Lamar junior Ibraheem Razouki, who fled Iraq as a child, is passionate about helping refugees. He founded a nonprofit called AIM to AID, which helps Muslim refugees in the Houston area get the resources they need to start new lives.
