Daylight Saving Time Tonight!

Daylight Saving Time begins at 2 am on March 12, so remember to have your clocks 'spring ahead' tonight before you go to sleep! (and this is the last time we in Illinois will need to change our clocks!)

Young people begin in the Sanctuary and will be sung out to their religious exploration classes. Songteller Dolly Parton describes her theology of faith and living in her lyrics. Said to carry one of the most diverse audience followings of fans, this music maker illustrates values of the Unitarian Universalist Principles throughout her work as well as her business decisions and generous charity projects. Dolly says, ‘Forgiveness is all there is.’ Her steadfast convictions to her personal covenants guide her decisions. This dedication to right relations and acting out her faith, is an example for us all. The Band, including some of our youth vocalists, will provide music for this service.

Join us in the Sanctuary or to join the live-stream: go to https://bit.ly/CCUUworshipSvc OR to listen via phone, call 1-312-626-6799 and use meeting id 412 124 873, passcode 1025.
Those viewing the service online may access a copy of the Order of Worship from our website, https://ccuu.org/orders-of-worship/ (under Worship menu).

Getting Ready for the Ministerial Search Committee

The efforts in forming the committee to search for a new settled minister will be kicking off this spring. There will be 5 members of the search committee who are nominated and elected from the Congregation and 2 additional members appointed by the Board. The first part of the process is that Board members will be contacting each member to ask who you would trust to be on the Search Committee. We will then have a pool of names for our Nominating Committee to start with. Being on the Search Committee is a daunting task that requires a great deal of work over a one-year period. We understand that you will have many questions about the process, and we’ll try to keep everyone informed along the way. Each Board member will have about 20-25 households to contact, so please try to be as responsive as you can. Thanks.
