Thursday Folk Dancing Program Thursday, March 9
In-person folk dancing at Walnut Road Elementary School (16152 - 82 Ave Surrey) continues on Thursday.
We will dance from 7:15 to 9:45 pm (doors open 7 pm).
Enter the gym through the doors at the rear of the building.
NO Dancing in the Gym in Spring Break

Lyrids Folk Dance Festival
Registration is now open for the Lyrids Folk Dance Festival 2023
which is April 21-23 in Vancouver featuring Steve Kotansky teaching Balkan dances and Genci Kastrati teaching Albanian dances.

Fees
The annual fee for the whole year of dancing is $100.
January to June: $65.
Drop-in fee is $5.
Membership and drop-in fees pay for hall rental, insurance, and incidental expenses.
SIFD Safety Plan - updated Sept 9, 2022
In order to be compliant with Provincial and School Guidelines, the following rules will be followed by SIFD when returning to in-person dancing:
Communication: these rules will be published clearly ahead of time, posted on site, and reviewed with each participant on arrival.
Sign in: All participants must sign in.
Health Check: Anyone with symptoms of COVID will be asked to leave.
Vaccination: While vaccination plus booster(s) is strongly recommended for reducing the severity of COVID, participants will not be asked to show Proof of Vaccination.
Masks: Mask usage is strongly encouraged.
Social Distancing: Participants will maintain a safe distance based on personal comfort. Holding hands is permitted, but no one should feel pressured to join hands.
Hand Washing: Everyone should wash hands or sanitize frequently.
Food/Beverages: Food and beverages are discouraged per school policy for gym usage. Water bottles are ok.
NOTE: All rules strictly enforced, violators will be asked to leave
