DBS check reminder

Thank you again for those who have stepped up to serve the children at All Saints. We only have three weeks to go until our Superhero holiday club so please do your safeguarding training and any DBS paperwork urgently. Jennie Herring and Sarah Hagger are happy to support you if needed.

Youth Minister appointment update

Thank you for your prayers for the appointment of a Youth Minister. I wanted to give an update. We were encouraged by a really promising crop of applicants. However, two pulled out for personal reasons and after a first interview we felt unable to take the process further. This is very disappointing for us all. However, we trust the Lord's hand is in it. Meanwhile we remain hugely thankful to Sarah Neller and the youth teams. Please let's continue to pray about this.

Derek Humphrey

The church family will be saddened to hear of the recent passing of Derek who, along with his late wife Jo, were regular attenders at the 11.15am service. Derek along with his younger son David moved to a village near Bath back in Summer 2020 and his funeral service will take place there at a later date. Please do remember Derek’s family in your prayers: his sons Clive and David.

Good Friday concert

On Good Friday 7 April at 7.00pm All Saints are pleased to welcome the New Sussex Singers to perform a beautiful and moving concert of the Rutter and Fauré’s Requiem. We are also inviting experienced choral singers to join the choir for the Fauré, with three rehearsals leading up to the performance. This will be a great opportunity to experience a community event and invite friends from outside the church to enjoy a high-quality performance on the most central festival of the church’s year.

MISSION
Mission Partner Focus: Jonny and Olga Anderson in Bolivia

Jonny and Olga Anderson are working with Serving in Mission to share the gospel with the Quechua native people. They were so encouraged after joining our March Prayer meeting and hope to visit us this summer when they are back in England.

Jonny and two young men at the Temple of Faith church have been asked to set up a Spanish speaking youth group. The church is 10-years-old and this is a very encouraging development. The first generation of believers have Quechua as their mother tongue but their children, now in their mid-teens are wanting to worship/express their faith in Spanish. The three leaders have met to pray, discuss goals and will be starting to visit homes on Mondays to invite teenagers in the community.

Prayer points:
  • For Jonny’s work with the new Spanish youth group in the Temple of Faith church
  • For the church in Tomina to grow in depth for love for one another and for Christ
  • For Olga’s role in relaunching the children’s outreach in Tomina and training the team of young women
  • For the Anderson children’s (Joel, Joanna and Jonah) Easter holidays and for Jonny’s mum’s health to improve to enable them to host the children.  Dave Nicholls, Ropeholder
