Women's HERstory Keynote: Jessica Hernandez
Hernandez, an Indigenous scholar, scientist, and community advocate, will present a lecture for Women's History Month. She was named by Forbes as one of the 100 most influential women in Central America. Thursday, March 16, noon (online event)
Richard Rosenberg
Caltech Remembers Trustee Richard M. Rosenberg (1930–2023)
Richard Rosenberg, retired chairman and chief executive officer of Bank of America, and a life member of the Caltech community, passed away on March 3, 2023. He was 92 years old.

Updates to COVID-19 Testing Requirements
Effective Friday, March 17, the last day of winter term, the Institute will close its Caltech-sponsored surveillance testing program, and suspend the current twice-weekly testing requirement for students and employees. Campus pandemic management will transition to an infection-control model that emphasizes individual symptom screening and, when necessary, COVID-19 testing for those experiencing symptoms.

Application Deadline for Explorer Grant Proposals Is April 18
Resnick Sustainability Institute Explorer Grants of up to $150,000 over two years are available for proposals that prioritize research that addresses significant challenges and opportunities associated with climate change and the stewardship of natural resources.

Volleyball League Registration Now Open
Registration is open through April 2. Games will be held every Wednesday from April 5 to May 31 from 7–9 p.m., and the league is open to all those who are eligible for gym membership.

Scholarships, Fellowships, and Awards 
The Caltech Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility website now includes a list of a wide range of scholarships and other opportunities.

2023 Caltech Undergraduate Writing Prizes
HSS awards a number of $500 prizes for undergraduate writing. Submissions are now being accepted for these categories: original fiction and poetry, essays on history, essays on literature, and essays on philosophy.
