<<First Name>>,
In the gospel the Samaritan woman asks Jesus for water, an image of our thirst for God. Jesus offers living water, a sign of God’s grace flowing from the waters of baptism. The early church used this gospel and those of the next two Sundays to deepen baptismal reflection during the final days of preparation before baptism at Easter. As we journey to the resurrection feast, Christ comes among us in word, bath, and meal—offering us the life-giving water of God’s mercy and forgiveness.

We love seeing you at worship!

Lenten Message by Mark Withrow
We are looking for sponsors for altar flowers.  If you would like to adorn the church, we have spaces open in April.  You can choose to pick-up the flowers after worship, or you can indicate that they be delivered to someone who is homebound to enjoy.

Please contact Judy Seilhamer at 717-334-4301 or js360@comcast.net to make arrangements for flower sponsorship.

Thank you for your consideration!!
All Voices are Welcome!

Seeking VBS Leaders for Snack and Music

VBS takes a few months to plan, so we are making a grand push to gather volunteers. We are still in need of a Snacks Leader and Music Leader and would like to have these areas filled by the end of March. Both leaders will be provided with a step-by-step guide and a helping hand from Pastor Steve Herr and/or Adam. The snack leader would need to coordinate volunteers and assist with ordering and purchasing of supplies, as well as preparation of themed snacks for 120 or more students each day. A spirited music director will help students to learn pre-selected songs with the help of supplied dance/motion videos and trained teenage assistants.

If you would like to learn more about being a Music or Snacks leader, please reach out to Adam Michael, 717-357-0441 or Pastor Steve Herr, or attend our meeting at Christ Lutheran Church at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 28.
If you are interested in helping out in other ways, we need lots of hands.  Please register to volunteer.

Youth Registration is now open VBS:  June 5-9
Sewing Machines

We have three heavy duty antique sewing machines that the church is looking to find a new home for.  They are industrial cast iron sewing machines installed in work tables.  The Quilting Committee has purchased new Bernina machines and no longer need the antique machines.

If you are interested in any of the three, you are welcome to take a look at them, just stop by the office and we'll show you the machines.  Since they are quite heavy, it is asked that you help move them, and possibly make a donation to the World Outreach Committee.

Please contact Judy Seilhamer (717-334-4301) or Claire Anderson (717-779-6280) if interested.
Vicar Libby is looking to re-vitalize and re-establish the Home Communion Program.

If you are a lay minister who has continued visiting and giving home communion, thank you!!
Please be in touch with Vicar Libby to inform her who you visit and on what basis.

If you are a lay minister looking to return to giving home communion, wonderful!
Please be in touch with Vicar Libby to be matched with someone who is homebound.

If you are interest in becoming a lay minister and making home visits, great!!
Please be in touch with Vicar Libby to be trained and receive elements and materials.

If you, or some one you know, would like to receive home communion, lovely!
Please be in touch with Vicar Libby so you/they may be paired with a lay minister.

All are Welcome!

Dear congregation of St. James,

I want to thank everyone for their generous donations to the Early Learning Center, as part of the 5th Sunday Servant Event. I know some items were slightly different than requested in previous years, but those little things often get missed and used often. Many thanks from the children and staff.
