Art at Robert Eagle Staff
Ms. Linden
If you have lived in Seattle for awhile you may be familiar with the Northwest School of Art. It was an art movement begun in the 1940’s and 50’s that included influences of Asia with natural themes of the Northwest.
The movement included artists such as Georg Tsutakawa, Morris Graves, Guy Anderson and Jacob Lawrence. The Junior League of Seattle recognized early the importance of these artists and purchased many pieces from the original artists. They have also followed up with more contemporary artists.
The Junior League has a program that brings a crate of art pieces to schools. We are most fortunate to have these pieces here at RESMS through the 17th. They are currently tourng classrooms and available in the office and commons for students to view. It is a great opportunity for students to see art in their own environment. Ask your student about art.
Here is a link to all of the art in a PowerPoint: Northwest Art.

Dental Screening at RESMS Health Center
Wednesday, March 15, 10:00 AM- 2:00 PM
Our dental screenings are conducted by our dentists. They are quick (1-2 minute) oral checks of the student's mouth and an optional application of fluoride. Dentists assess based on the visual exam whether the student has any follow up needs (i.e., cleanings, sealants, any procedures, etc.).
This allows us to see a high volume of patients in a day and do a broader level assessment of the community's oral health needs.
If the dentist identifies a follow up need, we will be able to register and schedule them with our dental team or provide resources to community dental clinics for referral if needed.

Know Before You Go... to Tryouts!
All students who want to try out for sports this spring need an up-to-date sports physical and a complete set of sports forms.
Sports Physical
- A sports physical is good for two years.
- There is a NeighborCare clinic onsite at school that is very convenient and awesome.
Sports Forms
- Parents will need to fill out ALL of the forms on FinalForms for their student.
- The child will need to virtually sign some of them.
- Submit the forms online before tryouts. If students do not have these forms completed prior to tryouts, they will not be allowed to try out. Not having the forms filled out may result in sad/stressful times for students. Now is the time to fill them out.
- Even if you filled out sports forms in the fall or winter, parents should go back to confirm on FinalForms that your student's forms are complete for spring sports (soccer, track, volleyball).

Boys Soccer Tryouts
Coaches Jon and Tom
Your soccer coaches, Jon and Tom, are getting set to kick off the spring soccer season. We are excited to get out there on the field and teach the kids some soccer, but more importantly give them an opportunity to get in shape, learn about teamwork, and meet fellow classmates.
All skill levels are encouraged to tryout! We do not intend to have cuts. Last year we had nearly 60 kids, fielding a Varsity, JV, and JVC team, and we expect to do the same again.
The season runs from April to June:
- Practices: Mondays and Thursdays
- Games: Saturdays
Tryout Dates/Times
- Monday, March 20th from 4:00-5:45 PM (On the RESMS field)
- Tuesday, March 21st from 4:00-5:45 PM (On the RESMS field)
We recommend athletic clothing for the tryouts, as well as cleats and shinguards if you have them. Please make sure to complete your FinalForms paperwork before tryouts. You can find instructions and a link to FinalForms on the RESMS Athletics page. (RESMS website => Student Life => Athletics)
Last year was an absolute blast and we ended our season by making it to the finals after a dramatic penalty kick victory in the semifinals. Fingers crossed we can have as much fun again! Details about timing and how to sign up are below.
See you out on the field!
Go Ravens!
