Survey results discussion:
- Members don’t want much to change but would like to add a few more activities that can help members develop skills, connect with other artists and opportunities to show and sell artwork. They also want to occasionally switch up the activity during the usual Artist Demo time.
Opportunities to show and sell work:
- The New Member Show, held at the Brunner Farmhouse will begin on May 1st with a Reception and take down on May 30th.
- Broomfield Community Center – We will put up the display on March 2nd between 1 and 2:00 pm. Take down will be on May 31 at the same time. A link to sign up has been sent out.
- Library Exhibit- Artwork Hanging is March 7, 3 -5pm. Art displayed will be for 6 months.
- We need volunteers at the City and County building to take over for Gerry Case.
- iPie has opportunities for display May- November. Several pieces can hang in the hallway and 6 paintings in the restaurant. The walls are orange and purple and can bring out those colors in the artwork.
- The Anthem Art show will be June 3rd-4th. 20 People have already signed up, so the show is likely full. Volunteers will be needed to help set up and take down as well as to watch booths for artists.
Dave Heffner presented a new video he put together showcasing some artworks by a few of the Guild members. He composed an original piece of music - “Broomfield Suite” - to accompany the slide show. The artwork will be switched out periodically. The YouTube page link is: https://youtu.be/NPXiw14M5VQ. This link will also be on the Guild website.
Camie Rigirozzi has a new book out and has received local publicity in the Broomfield Enterprise and the Broomfield Leader. You can find her book ‘Disgusting: A Book About Loving Others’ on Amazon, along with her three previous books.
