EU Council's Restrictive Measures against Russia due to its military aggression against Ukraine – Tenth sanctions package
06 March 2023 Further to the notifications sent, dated 28 February 2023, via the RSS Service from the "Sanctions/Restrictive Measures" section of the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission’s ("CySEC") website, regarding the Tenth sanctions package adopted by the Council of the European Union ("EU Council") against Russia due to its military aggression against Ukraine, CySEC wishes to draw the attention of the Regulated Entities to the new reporting obligations, following the amendments of Article 8 of Council Regulation (EU) No. 269/2014 and Article 5a of Council Regulation (EU) No. 833/2014, as published in the Official Journal of the European Union, dated 25 February 2023.
EIOPA Publishes corrected updated representative portfolios to calculate volatility adjustments to the Solvency II risk-free interest rate term structures for 2023

"The European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority ("EIOPA") published corrected updated representative portfolios that will be used for calculation of the volatility adjustments ("VA") to the relevant risk-free interest rate term structures for Solvency II. EIOPA will start using these updated representative portfolios for the calculation of the VA end of March 2023, which will be published at the beginning of April 2023." Singapore’s central bank boosted gold reserves 30% in January

"Singapore boosted its gold reserves by about 30% in January, joining central banks from China to Turkey in building up holdings of the precious metal. The Monetary Authority of Singapore’s bullion reserves rose to 6.4 million fine troy ounces, or 199 tons, at the end of January, up from 4.9 million ounces a month earlier, a spokesperson for the central bank said in response to emailed questions. 10 March 2023 "European and Asian equities tumbled at the open on Friday as fears over the health of banks’ bond portfolios compounded investors’ nervousness ahead of the publication of key US economic data. The region-wide Stoxx 600 fell 1.6 per cent, Germany’s Dax dropped 1.8 per cent and France’s Cac 40 was down 1.9 per cent. London’s FTSE 100 fell 1.6 per cent.
