Second Seder via Zoom
Thursday, April 6, at 6 pm
Join us via Zoom

While we understand that you may have many options for Zoom seders, please consider joining our community seder for the Second Night of Passover. Rabbi Mark and the Melamut family will lead from their dining room. The link is HERE as well as in the Weekly Update on our website. Please rsvp to Chris and indicate if you’d like to participate or lead a reading. The seder will last about an hour.

Our congregational survey indicated some support for an in-person, catered First Night Seder. As we are seeing in much of our programming, reluctance to gather indoors with a crowd remains. We understand that each person and family have the freedom to make their own choices. As our caterer required a minimum of 50 meals (at $45 per meal), we have decided to wait until next year to gather in-person for the community seder. If you’d like to be a part of next year’s “seder team” to help organize, please let Chris know.

We will look forward to next year as we say,
“Next year in the Roth Center!”

Congratulations to Steve Bachner, who was honored by an article in the Haven's newsletter for his work as a volunteer cook for more than six years. "Chef Steve" works with  a tight-knit group of volunteers to prepare lunch on Tuesdays.

The link to the article is HERE.

Please submit good news about community members to the UVJC office or Roberta Berner.

Sponsor a Kiddush

Sharing our joys, sorrow, memories and hopes is a very Jewish act. Sponsoring a Shabbat kiddush promotes and strengthens this tradition of communal sharing. Even a small-scale Kiddush can honor an event or a memory.

Sign up here to provide food for a specific date, or email Chris to sponsor via a donation. Questions? Email UVJC Kiddush Coordinator Yoni Neirman

A Little Help Needed
