“For Christʼs love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died.”

“My father was found after having a brain stroke and prostate cancer and now we are on the way to the hospital.”  When these are the words on the other end of a text from the pastor that’s become the point person for the sports ministry in Ngarenairobi and the four villages that surround it, you rearrange things to get to your friend quickly.

The Baba (father) was sent home from the hospital to be taken care of by the family as well as could be done. Jonathan traveled to their home to pray for Baba Stanley as he was barely able to stand or move without assistance and needed help with daily functions. Shortly after prayer Stanley came out to explain that for the first time since the stroke, his father began to have some feeling in his abdomen and stomach. The family was excited and believed that God had already begun to bring healing to their father. In follow up communication it has been reported that Baba Stanley continues to slowly improve and is now able to push up and stand on his own.

Another story that touched our hearts recently concerned one of the youth involved in the sports ministry. During one of the outreaches, he came up and shared with us about his excitement over getting food. He explained that he knew that being involved with the ministry outreach meant that he would be served pilau, which is a spiced rice (and a favorite meal here). He was so excited about getting the food that the night before he washed his bowl and placed it on the foot of his bed all night long in an attempt to make sure that he did not forget his bowl for the meal the next day. Many of the youth are so grateful to receive something as simple as spiced rice. It is during this lunch period that we take time to share again about Jesus and His word and to connect with the youth.

As the ministry continues to grow and become more established in the Ngarenairobi area, we are also seeing the Lord begin to push us to move into other regions of Tanzania as well. Recently there have been some God appointed meetings and the correct individuals with influence in the correct areas have agreed to assist in spreading the ministry to two other areas.  We need funds for expansion.  It costs about $2/ kid per month to run the sports program.  Would you consider covering the cost for 10 kids ($20/ month) for the next year?

We had planed ahead, and set aside funds for our return home in late September, but this last month, we have had several major and unexpected expenses that occurred back to back. These have eaten into some of those reserved funds. If you feel lead by the Lord, we would appreciate your partnership to assist us in fortifying those reserved funds and still maintain meeting ministry demands.
                                                                                                                                       Love The Noahs

We are beginning to plan a short season of home assignment this September- December so that we can also fellowship in person. We would love to connect with you during this time; we are beginning to plan our schedule now.  Our tentative agenda currently has time in Alabama in September, North Carolina in October, West Virginia in November, and Kentucky in December, and expect to add several other stops along the way. Would you begin to look at your schedule and open a conversation with us, via email, about how we can get together with you.
