It is just over one year (11 March) since the launch of the Shared Commitment to improve public involvement in health and social care research, and an opportunity to shine a spotlight on activity. Over the last year NHS Research Scotland, alongside the Chief Scientist Office, has worked in partnership with patients, the research community in Scotland, and with other leading organisations across the UK, to help drive up standards and raise the profile, value, and importance of public involvement in health and social care research.

New research strategy for UK to improve diabetes care
The NIHR and Diabetes UK have launched a joint strategy to inform the direction of clinical and applied diabetes research in the UK, aiming to encourage research that improves care and progresses towards new treatments for people with, or at risk of, diabetes. Read more
