Livewell Southwest are offering Bystander Workshops to prevent Violence Against Women and Girls. The workshops are free and virtual, with multiple dates available: Bystander Workshop Tickets, Multiple Dates | Eventbrite

Plymouth Soup Run served 2,474 meals last month, equivalent to 80 per night, 11% up on March 2022. Teams are noting an increase not only in numbers of meals served but also in expression of distress and need for support.

PATH are offering Tenancy Training for staff. We have in person and 1 X online sessions available. If you would like to book on, please email David.Ringwood@pathdevon.org 

Monday 15th May 10-1pm online (Teams)

In these sessions we’ll cover:
  • Legal requirements of landlords
  • Legal obligations of tenants
  • Different types of eviction notices
  • Finding and securing private rented accommodation
  • Getting deposits, rent in advance and applying for benevolent funds
  • Finding furnishings, white goods and other local resources.

Illegal Money Lending Team - Winter Newsletter

The Devon & Cornwall Furniture Reuse Project are launching 2 new exciting projects along with the free of charge furniture & free of charge Welcome Home Room upstairs (97 Union Street).  Funding is always a problem so they could really do with your support - please contact them to buy raffle tickets or to donate a prize perhaps? The proceeds will be used to buy items for vulnerable people to survive the cold weather.

  • Mondays 10am – 4pm Focussed on supporting people 50 plus and anyone on a health journey.
  • Tuesdays – ‘Military Tuesdays’ 10am – 4pm Focussed on supporting veterans, service leavers and their families.
Although we have this focus, we will support anyone 25 plus in the Adult Hub, claiming benefits or not.

The Changing Futures programme is a £64 million joint initiative by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) and The National Lottery Community Fund, the largest funder of community activity in the UK. The programme is for local organisations to work in partnership to better support those who experience multiple disadvantages, including homelessness, substance misuse, mental health issues, domestic abuse, and contact with the criminal justice system.
