PROMX ROUND 2

Round 2 of the ProMX Championship was a great success with some challenging track conditions and extreme heat making all of the riders work even harder for their results.

The Appin track in NSW has some of the largest jumps on the calendar which saw many riders finding it difficult to master the circuit making for a rough weekend for Australia's most talented Motocross riders. The riders rose to the challenge and the Australian ProMX Championship presented by Penrite championship standings as at Round 2 as well as details for Round 3 can be found on the Penrite Oil site here.

MAD MARCH COMES TO AN END

With almost too much to follow the month that has seen Supercars, Superbikes, Superboats, The Phillip Island Classic Festival of Motorsport, two rounds of ProMX and the Rob Roy Revival in addition to countless events participated in and won by our Penrite Ambassadors we finally draw to the close of what has been a dynamic and exciting month to be any kind of motorsport enthusiast or participant. Congratulations and thank you to all who put in the effort to make these events and results happen.

- Supercars With a Pole Position and Podium Result for Round 1 of the Supercars season, Penrite Racing is off to a solid start with great momentum off the back of a rookie test day at The Bend with new driver Matt Payne. We can't think of a better track to prepare for this weekend's Melbourne Grand Prix so hopes are high that the team's success grows from here.

- ProMX With the tragic loss of 20 year old #59 Brayden Erbacher (see Page 10 of the Round 2 ProMX Programme) Round 1 was a heartbreaking start to the year for the entire Motocross community. Proving the strength of said community, Round 2 at Appin in NSW saw the riders take to the track in honour of Brayden and his family and put on a brave show in brutally hot weather and treacherous track conditions. Stay up to date with the championship results here and watch the coverage free and when it suits you with SBS On Demand on mobile, desktop or on your smart tv.

- V8 Superboats The final round of the 2022-23 season took place on the weekend and drew a record entry list for an absolutely action packed event with the crews pulling 6g+ in some of the most demanding corners of the famous circuit in Keith, SA. Watch the entire event here on the V8 Superboats Official YouTube Channel  and stay tuned for the upcoming season's details!

- Penrite Honda Racing The Australian Superbike Championship saw Round 2 light up the night sky at Sydney Motorsport park over the weekend with the team providing a quick recap: "Round 2 of the @asbk at @sydneymotorsportpark done and dusted! A 3rd in Race 1 and a 2nd in Race 2, to take 3rd overall was a very nice way to wrap up a huge few days on track! The night racing was epic and we look forward to seeing fans next month in Queensland for Round 3!"

Overall we're seeing great results for Penrite teams, athletes and events across the board and 2023 is shaping up to be a fantastic year! Enjoy one of the biggest motorsport weekends on the Australian Calendar with the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix and we'll be back some exciting announcements in our next newsletter.
