Early Voting And Election Day For Senate District 09

Election Day is this coming Tuesday!

Greetings Henrico Dems,

Exciting Times in Henrico (like always!).Spring is here and so is Primary Season. We had the candidate filing period open up last Monday and folks are getting their ducks in a row. Signatures, petition pages, filing fee receipts, and Declarations of Candidacy have been dropping into the Nominating Committee Chair's homes like confetti! Keep an eye out for who is running in your district and we will be sending out a full line up of our Candidates once the filing period closes on April 6th.

Following last month's win in the Democratic firehouse primary, Delegate Lamont Bagby is the Democratic candidate for the State Senate seat recently vacated by Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan. Now it's time to vote again in the SD09 Special Election to ensure Del. Bagby defeats his Republican opponent. Early voting is happening now at both the Eastern and Western Henrico Registrar’s office. Final Saturday voting is tomorrow. Voting hours are M-F 8:00 am – 4:30 pm and Saturdays 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Not sure if you can vote in the SD09 Special Election? Enter your address at VPAP.org to find out. If VPAP lists Jennifer McClellan as your current state senator, you are in SD09.

SD09 Special Election Volunteers

On Election Day (March 28), we need volunteers to dress polling locations with Bagby signs. Driving routes will be provided. Election Day poll greeting shifts are also available at select precincts in Brookland, Fairfield and Varina. Signup Here

Join Team Bagby as we get out the vote to elect Delegate and Chair of the Virginia Legislative Black Caucus Lamont Bagby to the Virginia Senate. Early voting has ALREADY started, and election day is Tuesday, March 28th.

It's vital that we keep this seat blue to protect our progress and expand our Brick Wall in the Virginia Senate later this year. You can sign up to help canvass/phonebank/poll greet here.

Join Team VanValkenburg and Team Willett for their 2023 campaign canvass launch kickoff! We'll be knocking on doors in SD16/HD58 to talk to voters about the issues that matter most to them. No experience is required, and all training and materials will be provided on-site.

This Saturday, March 25 is the Grand opening of C andidate Aird's Henrico headquarters and they would like to see everybody there! Enjoy food, drinks, and a live DJ as you get to hear from candidates Lashrece Aird and special guest Lamont Bagby. In addition to the fun they will also be out knocking doors to talk to voters in the area.
