Just a Reminder...
that our annual stewardship drive for the 2023-24 fiscal year officially ends one week from today, March 31.
This is the time of year when we ask every member and friend to reaffirm their commitment to Countryside Church Unitarian Universalist (CCUU). Our records show that we have not yet received your pledge form for the 2023-24 church year (July 1, 2023 - June 30, 2024). Hopefully, that is a simple oversight. To maintain our ministries, our building, and our staff for next church year, it is important that we hear from you as soon as possible.
This year, we are asking you to consider increasing your pledge by 10%. We ask this as we approach a church year during which we will conduct our search for our new settled minister. This search process will require additional one-time funding and a very competitive salary and benefits package, given the scarcity of ministers available for the open positions. We also aim to provide salary increases to each of our staff members who have not received a raise for 5 years. Our treasured staff has been so creative and gone above and beyond the call of duty during and since the pandemic – they have kept our church running smoothly during a very challenging time. We hope you can support these goals by updating your pledge.
Since you are currently paying your pledge via EFT or credit card through Countryside Express, we will continue your current pledge into the new fiscal year unless we hear from you otherwise by March 31. To update your pledge, please use this form or pledge online at https://ccuu.org/future-with-hope/. If you are unable to give at this time, exemptions are available, so please reach out to Rev. Denise at revdenise@ccuu.org.
Your continued commitment helps ensure that our Unitarian Universalist voice of love, compassion, and justice is heard in today's increasingly divisive world.
With gratitude for all the gifts you bring to Countryside Church,
The Stewardship Team: Gary LaBedz, Rick Rayborn, Tom Dempsey, Debbie Lee, Lisa Gilley, Émilie Cheng, Rev. Denise Cawley
