The Lord is good to all,
and his mercy is over all he has made.

Psalm 145:9
Taken on the Osceola Island trail near Bristol, TN

CHE at ECHO

We recently had the opportunity to teach Community Health Evangelism at ECHO in Fort Myers, FL.  ECHO is an international agricultural mission support organization and they wanted us to teach their interns and some of the staff.

The Community Health Evangelism course is a participatory learning process that originally consisted primarily of preventative health lesson with a Biblical discipleship component.  That has now grown to a wide range of community development topics contained in over 6,000 lessons.  This information was particularly exciting for these interns at ECHO as most have intentions to do mission work in their future.  We pray the Lord continues to bless ECHO, the interns, and their staff as they pursue and seek to glorify him!

Community Health Evangelism has been the basis for our mission methodology, and we look forward to how the Lord continues to use it in our ministry in Honduras as well as around the world through the missionaries we have the privilege to train!

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good!
Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him!

Praises!
  • We had a fabulous time at the mission conference held by Fellowship Bible Church, FBC,  near Harpers Ferry, WV!  So great to reunite with many longtime friends and make some new ones!
  • We were also very blessed to be able to visit with Mt Airy PCA in Mt Airy, MD.  Some of our friends there go back 30 years, so our time together was sweet but too short!
  • Unfortunately, the prep work for the Compressed Earth Block course was cut short as Matt had to return home to help Ellen who was suffering with kidney stones.  Praise the Lord that the stones have appeared to have past!
Upcoming
  • Mar 26-31, Community Health Evangelism, CHE, Equip Headquarters, Marion, NC
  • Apr 3-7, Working on Compressed Earth Block production setup at Equip, Marion, NC
  • Apr 16-21, Compressed Stabilized Earth Block course at Equip Headquarters, Marion, NC
  • Apr 28-30, Ellen will be sharing at a Women's Retreat for Shady Grove PCA
Prayer Request:
  • To daily keep our eyes on Jesus!
  • For this week's Community Health Evangelism course that people will be encouraged in the Lord and use this material around the world to the glory of God!
  • The week of Apr 3rd Equip will receive a new earth mixing machine that we need to re-work the block production line for and so prayers are requested for safety and wisdom.
  • For the upcoming Compressed Stabilized Earth Block course at Equip that the Lord will draw those He wants to use this training in foreign countries.
  • Please pray for Ellen as she speaks at a women's retreat, that she would encourage the women and glorify our Father!
