The Flip of a Switch

March 26

“And I pray…that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ.” - Philippians 1:10

▶︎ LISTEN TO THE DEVOTIONAL

I guess every little boy wants a train. I remember one Christmas when my mom and dad gave me a little train set. We put it on a piece of plywood and the train just went around in a circle. I could make it go forward or backward, and I could make smoke come out of the smokestack, but that was about it. But I had friends down the street who had a big train set in their garage. It had several engines and villages and houses and tunnels. And sometimes they let me operate one of those trains. And I could just flip a little switch and that train would completely change direction or move onto another track. The choices we make are like that.

We are where we are today because of all the choices we have made in life. And these choices determine whether we mature and become all that God designed us to be and become. If you feel that you have been making choices that have put you on the wrong track, ask God to help you “flip the switch” and get back on the path He has prepared just for you."
