- The Department of Social Sciences is hosting the annual conference that will be here June 12-15, 2024. Dr. Sarah Fayen Scarlett has been working with students and collaborators for 5 years to research buildings and sites that together can tell important multivocal stories about the landscapes we all share.
- Come help celebrate all the students who have contributed to conference preparation over the years, and hear about what is being planned for the tour routes, the guidebook, and the paper sessions.
- Also, there’s still time to get involved in fieldwork this summer and/or volunteering in June 2024!

- Friday March 31 at 1pm AOB Room 201: Everyone is invited to hear about the work of some of our recent Undergraduate Alumni.
- Erica LaClaire, graduated in 2016 with a BA in History, she is now a Manager for the Easement Program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
- As part of her work, she conducts site visits to protected historic properties and works with property owners to ensure appropriate rehabilitation techniques are applied.
- LaClaire also advocates for historic sites with colleagues and outside stakeholders through educational opportunities.
- Nathan Hatcher - Graduated in 2021 BA in Sustainability, currently working with Non Profit performing Energy Audits in SW Michigan.
- Thursday, March 30 4pm - 5pm in the AOB Commons there will be an information session about the summer archaeological field school running this summer during Track B.
- The Archaeological Field School is an amazing experience open to all students, all majors.
