New Graduate Fellowship Focuses on Global Justice and Equity The Office of Global Affairs is delighted to announce the inaugural cohort of the Graduate Fellowship for Global Justice and Equity (GJE Fellows)! This fellowship supports current advanced Duke Ph.D. students whose dissertations are situated in international or regional studies and make an important contribution to advancing understanding of racial, social and equitable justice.
Amanda Kelso Wins 2023 Global Service Award Congratulations to Dr. Amanda Kelso for winning the 2023 Duke Global Service Award! Dr. Kelso is the Assistant Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education and Executive Director of the Global Education Office for Undergraduates.
Duke Announced as a Top Fulbright Producer Duke University is once again one of the top producers of U.S. Fulbright student scholars. In the 2022-2023 academic year, 26 grants were awarded to Duke students and alumni. Duke Fulbright recipients will research, study or serve on five different continents around the world.

Office of Global Affairs Course Enhancement Grants This grant supports innovative approaches to global teaching, learning and research, both at Duke and abroad. Grants will be awarded to faculty projects that provide Duke students with meaningful global experiences and create new opportunities for global learning and engagement.

Duke Globally Taught Courses This program supports faculty wishing to collaborate with peers at institutions abroad to co-create graduate courses or course modules delivered virtually via online technology.

Global Student Research Fund This fund supports the global learning, research and professional development of Duke students. Eligible students may apply for funding under one of four categories: Research Projects, Conference Presentations, Pre-Dissertation Travel or Summer Language Study.

Duke Student Passport Fund This fund helps Duke students with limited financial resources access international education opportunities by assisting with passport-related expenses. Duke students may apply to this fund to cover their passport application and execution fees.

Global Administrator Travel Grants This grant strengthens Duke’s global partnerships and operations by providing administrators with the opportunity to meet their counterparts at Duke’s international partner institutions. Staff will learn about administrative best practices at partner institutions, deepen their understanding of Duke’s international partners and witness firsthand how Duke programs and activities are managed abroad.

Faculty Global Engagement Fund This fund advances Duke University faculty by supporting innovative approaches to global research, teaching and scholarly engagement at Duke and abroad. Funds support international travel and global projects that advance global research, engage with global partners or provide Duke students with new opportunities for global learning and engagement. Funds may also support exploratory travel to establish connections abroad, form a global initiative and/or prepare a project proposal for an OGA or external global funding opportunity. Projects may occur on Duke’s campus, virtually or abroad.
