Join us for our Palm Sunday celebration as we wave our palms in praise of Christ, beg His mercy with our "hosannas," and pledge Him our allegiance as our King.

IN OUR PRAYERS
Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

We remember in Christian sympathy the family and friends of Ron Damery, who died last weekend.  May the Gospel of grace and the promise of the resurrection to life for all believers give them comfort and hope.

We pray for healing for:
  • Claire McGaughey, former long-time teacher in our ECC, who is hospitalized
  • Herb Wissel (grandfather of ECC child, Wilmot), who remans hospitalized after transplant surgery
  • Earl Willenbrock, Sr. released from the hospital following surgery
  • Ron Solovic, brother of Vicki Pritchett, recovering from COVID
  • Joyce Bruss, recovering from outpatient surgery
  • Mel Nierdieck, in rehab following hospitalization
We rejoice with Austin and Allie (O'Toole) Pierce at the birth of their child last Sunday.

May the Holy Spirit bless our efforts to witness to the Gospel through our Holy Week and Easter outreach efforts, especially the Egg-vitation.

To request prayer, go to the Prayer Page on our website.  You can indicate if you want the prayers to be confidential or included in the Sunday prayers and/or the e-news. You also can sign up to be a Prayer Partner.
PALM CROSSES

Thank you to Sharon Majoros for providing the palm crosses for worshppers this Sunday in memory of her husband, Arthur Majoros.
EASTER EGG-VITATION
Invite Your Friends and Family to Easter Events

The power of the resurrection of Jesus changes everything.  Take the opportunity to witness to your family and friends. Invite them to Holy Week worship with an Egg-vitation!

What's an Egg-vitation?  It's a plastic Easter egg that includes:
  • A mini-pamphlet explaining the significance of Good Friday and Easter with worship times.
  • An invitation to the Egg Hunt and Easter Breakfast
  • A tag with church information.  You can use the back to write a personal message.
  • A "He is Risen" button pin.
Click here for a preview of the contents.
You can pick up Egg-vitations in the church entrance on the tree. May the love of Christ give us each the courage to share the joy of Easter!

"This is the way God loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son so that wherever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."   - John 3:16
EGGSTRAVAGANZA
Saturday, April 8, beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Easter and the Eggstravaganza are just around the corner. On Saturday, April 8, the Easter Egg Hunt will begin at 1:00 p.m. We are asking for donations of plastic eggs (no hard-boiled eggs) and candy to stuff the eggs.

There will be a box placed in the narthex for the eggs and candy through Palm Sunday, April 2. You may also bring your plastic eggs and candy donations in early in the morning of the hunt. If you have any questions regarding the Egg Hunt, please contact Art Matia at (314) 776-3336. Thank you for your donations.
EASTER LILIES

Easter lilies are ordered for Easter to beautify our altar. Sign the sheet in the back of church for 1 or more lilies. They are $10 each and can be taken home after the 10:30 a.m. Easter worship service.

Cash or checks may be given to Nancy Roach, Jane Mihalevich, Sue Hasselbring or Joyce Kolnik. Please make checks payable to St. Lucas Women's Guild.
EASTER OFFERINGS

We celebrate this blessed holiday, as it has brought hope and joy to billions of people throughout history.

Make Easter offerings online during the Easter season! It is encouraging to see both new and familiar faces at our worship services. Throughout the year, many of you already support the congregation with your time, talent and financial contributions but greater seasonal participation is always welcome. We encourage you to consider our electronic giving program. We accept donations made from your bank account and credit card or debit cards. It takes just a few minutes to set up a recurring giving plan.

Your generous gifts are being used to support the ministries and missions of St. Lucas here in St. Louis and throughout the world through our SELC District and the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod.

Click here to access our Giving Page.

By the way, did you know you can participate in our services online whenever you can’t attend in person? You can! It's more than a livestream. It's the full church experience.
Sunday AM Bible Class
Sundays, 915 a.m.

Book of Zechariah: Pointing to Christ

The Sunday Morning Bible Class is studying the Book of Zechariah, second to last book of the Old Testament. This book predicts, with stunning accuracy, God's plan of salvation through the coming Messiah, Jesus.  Join us for this remarkable book.
WORSHIP NOTE:  As we are marking the third anniversary of COVID, the Elders are rolling back the final COVID related precautions.  Starting this Sunday, Palm Sunday, we will again pass the offering plate in the sanctuary. Pastor again will hand the host (wafer) directly to communicants, after using hand sanitizer. If you still prefer to receive the host in the plastic cup, just let Pastor know.
ALL-IN GENEROSITY

We have a God that is in the multiplication business! His math is entirely different than our math – He takes what we offer and turns it into more than we can ever imagine.   With God at the helm, we can be generous; we don’t need to worry that God will stop providing for us. We trust His promise to take care of us; He will multiply the bread and fish just as He did in Luke 9:16-17 when we put our trust in Him. When we give to the Lord, He brings forth an abundance.
All-In Generosity begins with the understanding that what we give is not really “ours”.    Everything we are and have belongs to God. He is the owner of all things. We are simply stewards of what God entrusts to our management.   As All-In Disciples, we give cheerfully, proportionately, regularly, and sacrificially.

Correction: The April mailed newsletter had the wrong date.  The next Coffee Tawlk is April 23.  Join us!
