#38 GRADUATES

This past 2022, we celebrated our 38th Graduate (Steven, Karen, Elder and Sheily) Unfortunately, not everyone who starts school, finishes it ! BUT we sure are glad for the successful stories we have witnessed during the past 23 years ! God is good .- God willing, this year we will have 6 more students, a total of 44.

Thanks a lot for the support you have shown and continue giving towards this organization.

Mission Trip 2022

The 2022 Mission Trip was a great "come back" trip for OHG.
It's always such a marvelous thing how God brings together a variety of personalities and then create such a united group that can accomplish so much in one week.

This year's team did not disappoint. We held medical, foot and dental clinics that served the community.

We visited several homes and delivered much need basic household items.
The construction project transformed an existing carpentry shop by doubling the space and providing a drastic improvement in work place environment. (Manuel, the owner, has committed to teach several of our students carpentry skills througout the year.

One super fun addition to this trip was an all day Fair. The kids got to play games the would win them tickets and then exchanging those tickets for fun prizes. It was one of the highlights of the mission trip. Kids and adults loved it.

On Saturday we all came together to celebrate 4 graduates as well as our traditional Happy Feet Party and Christmas Celebration .

Beginning of Classes 2023

This start of classes for our children has undoubtedly been the most anticipated of all. Each child started the year with great joy and excitement, after being at home receiving classes virtually due to the pandemic.

The Joy and expressions of gratitude of the children are priceless !!

Thanks for the time invested !

We say goodbye to a great couple that have been volunteers. We are sad but also with a lot of gratitude in our hearts, they are beloved and valuable members of this organization. José and Irma, who gave their time as volunteersfor a long time. They poured their hearts out and without a doubt have left a positive impact in the lives of the children and their legacy will live on in the work they did together. Thank you for the time dedicated and for the unforgettable moments.

We love you and wish you the Best, we will miss you!

Surprise Birthday Party

The volunteer who started it all turned 70 years old this year. A big surprise b-day party was thrown in her honor. Students and volunteers celebrated Carmen with lots of fun, food and treats. There were lots of heart felt stories shared about the impact Carmen (Yaya) has made in their lives.

Parenting skills School 2023

Parents of OHG Students are coming together weekly to learn effective Christ Center parenting skills. A professional and long time friend of OHG, Carmen Barrios will lead the classes on practical ways to nurture and raise children . This is part of a program this ministry is adding to serve the community.
